On 24th Feburary 2021 Cowan Restoration Services were called to an urgent fire at the local community hub in Cheltenham. The fire had started in the back change rooms of the building causing the entire building to be flooded with smoke. Cowan was able to attend the same day and get a team of staff to work around the clock for the next 48 hours in order to keep the building open. Keeping the facility operating was a matter of importance as the NBL plays on the basketball courts, the day care was operating for essential service parents that had no other option and the swimming pool had just opened back to school after being in lockdown.
Working day and night shift Cowan was able to achieve great results keeping the basketball courts, child care centre, cafe and the swimming pool open for business throughout the decontamination process.
